Friend of mine gave me an Elomi Energise as part of a clothing swap and although the band is two sizes two big it’s still very comfortable. Comfortable enough that I googled the brand and ended up on Amazon. I had this in my cart and it was discounted for Prime Day, and I needed a new sports bra so it seemed like kismet. Just got it in the mail about an hour ago and put it on right away. Love it.During the pandemic my size has fluctuated from 36C/D to 40D back to 38DD. All of my sports bras up until I ‘discovered’ Elomi were the monoboob type— no underwire, not racerback, Velcro straps, 2-3 hook and eye closures. They did what they needed to do, but weren’t great. Straps slipped, Velcro wore out, they ‘shrank’ when washed and then stretched out again (fwiw I always wash cold and hang to dry).This bra is comfortable, adjusting the straps to racerback gives a nice amount of lift and support, and eases the strain on my shoulders. Did a quick bounce test and it’s like I’m wearing a harness rather than a bra. On one hand, that’s nice but it’s also kind of weird— I don’t feel ‘contained’ and there is more movement than I’m used to or comfortable with. I don’t know if this is the bra ‘failing’ or just that I’m not used to it.Overall, though, I like it, I’m keeping it and wearing it. I’m not a runner so not going to stress too much about the movement. Will keep looking for the ‘ideal’ sports bra, but in the meantime this fits the bill— and me— perfectly.
