Best mma hybrid gloves for the best price in my opinion there is cheaper options but the wrist support and overall comfort incomparableI purchased two pairs of these gloves. The red set is sized regular and the white set is sized large. I based the size of my first purchase on a set of Combat Sports MMA gloves (similar to the ones used in the UFC). The old set being a size regular I never wore wraps. The point is when I purchased my original pair my hands and wrist did not hurt. Today, 10 years later, it is a different story. The pain is more in my wrist that hands but I still need the support of wearing wraps. I did not think of this until after I ordered a regular sized pair of the Red Max Strike from Combat Sports. If you look at the pictures the main curved padding rides high on my knuckles cause a rub which is uncomfortable. And you will also be able to tell that with the wraps, I am not able to fit in them very comfortably. Now, without warps, they are fine. However, I gave them to my 8 year old son and the fit him marvelously. Better is the large sized white set.As you can tell from the pictures it is a more comfortable all around fit. SO, if you are going to wear wraps get the next size up. (For disclosure: I based the durability rating of the gloves off of my experience with my original glove purchase ten years ago. The are still in great shape after ten years of use. I expect the Max Strike to have the same long term durability.)Very good glovesReview based on an XL as well as a L for this glove.AESTHETICS - Both gloves are beautifully constructed, no loose stitches or scuffs/marks. It's not full leather because it looks like the black segmented part of the back of the glove is made out of synthetic leather. The leather on the padding and on the finger loops feel nice and soft. I feel that they will be durable but it's only been a week so bare with me on that. Also the color scheme and layout are gorgeous. Nothing looks tacky or poorly printed designed. An absolute pleasure to flash around at the gym. Drawing the "ooo's" and "awe's" of the gym mates especially feel nice haha.FIT - The XL's fit my hand comfortably mind you my hands aren't huge. I got the XL because I wanted to wear handwraps with them. The only ones I can wear with them though are probably 120's... comfortably anyways. The L's felt a little too tight around the fingers. They weren't uncomfortable but I did notice the tightness.Dimensions of my hands to help with sizing:-8.5" circumference around the knuckles [Palm up]-3.5" width of knuckles [Palm up]-3" circumference of index finger-3" & 2/8th's the length of the middle fingerFUNCTIONALITY - Both do their job very well, which is safely simulate an MMA ruled match. The pre-curved foam make it relatively easy to strike and to clinch with but is a bit cumbersome while grappling especially when going for subs. But I've adapted it to my game and instead hug rather than grab the limb I'm attacking. Chokes and getting underhooks are a bit troublesome as well.I will admit though that the padding for the XL's compared to the L's is different(it could be that I got different batches). The XL's felt soft but firm at the same time, think Gel padding. While the L's were soft as well but more of a springy bouncier padding. Still would rather get hit by these than a TapOut glove lol.OVERALL: Would definitely buy these gloves in bulk if there's a good price for them. Very happy with my purchase :DPROS:-Does as described-soft but firm padding-as functional as it is aesthetically pleasingCONS:-Size chart needs to move down a peg[XL's should be L's, L's should be Reg, etc.]-Inconsistent padding [probably got 2 different batches. still love em though!]These are outstanding. I've been looking for a hybrid style glove for hitting my 125lb aquabag. I typically do 3-4 45 minute sessions a week. These are very well made - excellent fit and finish. I tried two other brands prior to these. These gloves have excellent padding, comparable to a traditional boxing glove, and most importantly, the padding extends over the second set of knuckles, which prevents then from getting torn up. If you're looking for a hybrid style glove that can stand up to regular abuse then look no further - just get these! ?My favorite gloves. I tried some of the best gloves out there (Hayabusa, Venum) for my boxing/fitness class and this beat them all. Easy to slip on and off, great padding and most of all incredible support. Although I'd recommend anyone use a wrist wrap, I don't use them because it takes too long to wrap/rewrap if you're looking to get a great workout in without breaks.I had another pair of Combat Sports gloves before this (the MMA version) and it lasted me 3 months of 4 x week workouts on a heavy bag before it developed some tears and the padding wore down. Given the better quality on these I'd expect them to last a lot longer. Imo, nothing bears the convenience:support of the wrist lock wrap. Lastly, I really appreciate the location of the peak/apex of the padding. Hooks have a tendency to crank your wrist if you don't have great alignment, but with this glove, I find my wrist getting guided to the right alignment.I ordered 3 different models of gloves on here advertised as MMA sparring gloves. These are the ones I'll keep.CONS:- Velcro wrists straps are 3 inches too short. Especially if you wear wraps. Not enough velcro keeping the glove on once it's on. Probably going to need to use duct tape to secure the glove around the wrist.- Inside lining could be softer. I'm definitely going to use wraps.PROS:- Everything else.In the future, I'll look into getting the CRNR ones instead since they are essentially the same, but have a way longer velcro strap. Not sold on here on the date of this review.I orignally bought a pair of revgear for they were cheaper and all leather. I felt on the revgear they used same finger cuffs for both gloves , making the right index finger tightly squeezed. These however have abit of big pinky but doesnt cut off my circulation . i can also wear hand wraps with these ones. Padding is what is needed for hard sparring and assuring the safety of your teammates. I give it a 5 based on that its the best i have tried on so far that is out thereBought these gloves for mma sparring but returned them right away. The padding is nice and thick just as required for sparring, and the leather is of good quality as well. What got me to return them was that the lining on the inside of the gloves were very rough and uncomfortable on my knuckles despite everything being well constructed.I used this for Wing Chun training and sparring. Foam is a little stiff, needs a break in period. It's tougher to grapple in this as well. But it protects my hands and my partners during sparring training very well. Highly recommended. Stitches are tight, the inner liner is a little scratchy and can be smoother like RDX I feel. But overall, a solid glove on a budget.Been using these gloves for 5-6 months so far. Was uncomfortable at the finger loops at first every time I made a fist, but fine after breaking them in. Great padding for sparring and it could've been a very good glove if it wasn't for the inside lining. The lining is a bit rough in the knuckle area and may cause them to chafe and bleed.
