My last wallet was a Tumi and lasted 15 years. Not the norm, and I'm well aware that I'm hard on stuff. All of my other ones have always just fallen apart. I ordered this in April and it's September now, to give you a timeframe for wear and tear. I tried finding a TAMU (whoop!) wallet like the style of my old one and had a pretty difficult time so I was happy when I found this one. It's split-grain leather with foam padding under it. The result is a very soft, napa-leather feel. (I used to sell leather goods - that's the only reason I know that, it's not like there's foam showing or anything) The pics shown in the initial description are accurate as far as the interior. The slots for cards are pretty tight so, while it is hard to get them out, they don't fall out either; a decent tradeoff for me. The metal logo is thick and sturdy, and the enamel job is very nice looking, as you can see from my close-up pic. It's glued into that little frame thing and I haven't had any problems with it yet, so there's that. My only issue is one that I've had with every single wallet I've ever owned, except for the Tumi. Manufacturers seem to think that a little glue at the folded edge will secure the ends of the threads, but it never ever ever ever does. Ever. So the whole little leather pocket intersection starts to come apart. I like this wallet enough that I might try gluing it back together if it gets worse. That's my only gripe. I've raked my fingernails across the leather a few times and it hasn't gotten that scratched, marred look. I will say that even if I have to glue it back in a few areas, this was definitely worth the money for a simple logo product that isn't an awful Vera Bradley-esque hallucination, garishly embellished with trendy patterns. I think they also have other products with the same style of metal logo, but I can't remember for sure. I'd buy it again but, hopefully, I won't have to. Well made easy access to credit cards and also bills and change.I ordered this wallet to replace the one I am presently using (which is also a VT), but I haven't retired the old one yet. This is a nice wallet with plenty of compartments for all my needs, so I am sure I will be happy with it when the time comes.The wallet itself is nice. Plenty of different areas to put money, credit cards, and important items. However, if you put things in these nifty little areas the wallet will not close. It's nice, but if you are someone who carries lots of stuff in your wallet, buy something else.The wallet appeared to be of nice quality, however it was given as a gift so I can't elaborate, I can say it was well received.The credit card slots are very tight, but otherwise it is nice.I LOVE MY WALLET. It is quality leather with a securly fit ou soonmers emblem on the front. There is plenty of pockets for credit cards and space for pictures, change, and bills.
