I loved this book so much! Tal Bauer has a way with words. His writing is so beautiful and his storytelling makes me melt time after time. It’s just so dang romantic and swoon worthy ??. Justin and Wes are a new fave couple of mine. Justin was an out and proud big city guy, while Wes was the shy closeted gay cowboy on his way to becoming one of the best college football players of his generation. These two met during a French language summer program in Paris. They had no idea that those 3 weeks in Paris would change everything! From the moment they met, I was all in. This was more of an instant love, but the growth of their relationship is a slow progression throughout the book. If that makes sense. Wes had my heart from the start. His southern charm and shy persona was everything. He had the weight of the world on his shoulders because the two things he wanted most in the world could not coexist. His love and dedication for his team or the love of his life? My heart went out to him. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Justin was good sport about everything! This isn’t the typical story of the closeted gay jock and his lover that’s over being a dirty secret. Justin understood Wes’s battle and he stuck it out without added pressure. I just adore these two sooo much!Tal writes some of the best sports romances. Not only do we get a love story, but we also are immersed into the world of football, brotherhood with a shared passion for the sport, and the importance of teamwork and chemistry on the field.I can’t rave about this story enough! Amazing character and plot development, exceptional writing and storytelling! This is definitely reread worthy! I’m looking forward to reading the next installment “The Quarterback” next! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
