I got into suspension training a few years back starting with the Pocket Monkii. Since then I got the Monkii Bars II and the TRX 4 Pro.The Rapid Rings are like the Monkii Bars II in that unlike the Pocket Monkii and TRX, both rings are connected to straps that have their own separate connection point to the overhead bar they’re hanging from. The TRX and Pocket Monkii handle straps are connected at a Y joint that then hang from the bar above which give a slightly unnatural alignment of the arms in relation to the hanging straps. With the Rapid rings one gets a natural complete downward alignment of the arms and with each of the straps so that when doing push/pull exercises one can get the full potential exertion the body can pump out unlike with a Y jointed suspension system like the TRX and Pocket Monkii. The straps on the Rapid Rings are hands down the easiest to set up and get to doing a workout the quickest out of the 4. They don’t have a lot of slack to contend with like the Monkii Bars II and because of the number system they utilize, are much easier to pin point lengths needed. The TRX and Pocket Monkii pretty much directs you to 3 basic lengths, short, medium, and long. These are first gymnastic rings I’ve bought so I can’t say anything about others, however I’ve seen others having a whole lot of strap slack hanging while a person was doing their exercises on YouTube during my comparison shopping before I settled on the Rapid Rings. The only downside to the Rapid Rings is that they don’t roll when doing an exercise like bicep curls. This will only be a matter if you want the extreme full range of motion of your arms being completely straight out before doing the curling motion, which in all reality isn’t engaging your bicep at all when straight out like that. Though the rings don’t roll it still doesn’t hinder one from doing exercises that would be considered easier with the rollable handles of the TRX or either of the Pocket Monkii or Monkii Bars II. Approaching those exercises just require a slight shift of how one would do them with the Rapid Rings. If you’re looking for a great set of gymnastic rings and straps, then Rapid Rings are bar none the best out there on the market. The price point is definitelyhigher than others that are available, but it also garners in a much easier and more enjoyable strap set up and strap length adjusting experience that’ll keep the flow of any workout going with ease and without distractions of extra strap slack hanging around. If you’re looking for durable straps and a easy and enjoyable suspension type of workout then look no further, the Rapid Rings are for you!
