Everything about this bandoleer screams overkill, but once I saw it, I just had to have it. I chose this one over the others because:1) It holds 56 rounds instead of 50 which is what other models I looked at held (I'm a big fan of overkill)2) No one else has reviewed it yet, so I figured I'll take my chances and roll the diceI received it in the original packaging. The belt is well made. The stitching seems to be pretty strong and tight, and the elastic is pristine. I'm a stocky build at 5'10" and 160 lbs, and it fits me alright. I loaded 56 rounds of 12 gauge with no difficulty. I then held the belt so the rims of the shells faced the ground and rigorously shook it in an attempt to get anything to fall out, and nothing fell out with my best efforts.Overall, the bandoleer is exactly what I wanted it to be which is why I gave it five stars. I see this lasting through the use and abuse I have in store. I don't own any other gauge of shotgun, so I can't say whether it can hold other gauge shells or not. If I had to guess, though, I would figure anything 20 gauge or larger would fit alright.3/28/12 - UpdateHere we are almost a year later, and I wasn't nice to this thing at all. It's been thrown in mud, rained on, tossed around, and had over 600 shells pass through it so far. Some of the stitching between two of the shell spaces came loose, but me and my old basic training sewing kit fixed that problem pretty quick. Some of the elastic bands are starting to show as well, and that's about it.The bandoleer still excels at its job of overkill, and I hold no regrets for purchasing it.
