i dont really like the color purple but this jump rope is really nice. it has a bearing in the handle which allow the rope to swing easy while you are jumping. i have noticed when i jump in our gravel driveway the rope has some wear on it but its holding up good and hasnt broke. i ordered the 9ft jump rope because i am 6'3" and the rope swings easily and there is not a lot of extra rope. i have gotten really good at jumping and keeping a good rythem but i cant go for to long because i am out of shape and my legs start hurting after a while. i recommend jumping on the front of your feet and dont jump very high. just high enough for the rope to pass under. start with the rope behind your feet and bring it around for the first jump. for 10 bucks you cant get a better jump rope
