Steel *always* irritates me, even nickle free, so I was worried about these because they aren't said to be silver. When an earring irritates me, it is normally within a few hours, sometimes less. I have worn these 2 days in a row for 9+ hours each day without issue! I had been planning to buy silver hooks from the craft store to replace the ones that come with them, but guess I don't need to!Earrings are exactly as described, just the right size for me.
