The spine of the book was badly damaged and taped badly. It was hardly acceptable to sell at the price that it was. I would be embarrassed to give this as a gift in the condition that it arrived.I buy these pop-up books to examine the mechanics and they end up being part of my entertainment. These are very good pop-ups - great for any age, but all pop ups are delicate and should be handled as such. Probably not much good for a child under 7 maybe?Bought this book for my 13-year-old son who loves baseball. I have actually bought it before for a nephew who loves ALL sports. They both love the book. My 50-year-old husband really liked it, too! It's very well put together and really is a "wow." Just wish they'd used Phil Mickelson instead of Tiger for the golf section! I realize the book was produced way before all that, though. Oh, well - still a great find.A bit disappointed in that the spine of the book was damaged, and felt it a bit dated. I should have looked at the published date prior to ordering. However the pop up pages are quite good.This book is beautifully done. The illustrations are large and intricate. It is the type of book that should be looked at with parental supervision because the pop ups are large and have to be folded down carefully.Very nice. I was hoping for a few more pages, but still very cool. I am not sure if my son will appreciate it or not, he's getting it for Christmas. I hope so!The book is exceptional. You have to see it to believe it. The photography extraordinary. The information that is written about each event is interesting and informative.I would recommend this book for children and for all those adults who want to appreciate a piece of art as well as learn about some historical sports events.Got this for my great grandson. Stories fairly limited and popups were not that eye popping. Ordered some other books and this book paled in comparison.
