I used this cane/seat for the first time at a large outdoor music festival recently that required a lot of walking. It was great. When folded up, the footprint of this cane is compact, unlike many other cane/seats I saw online before deciding on this one. Many of the others form a 'tripod' footprint, that I was afraid would make me trip. This cane is not heavy at all, and although the height is not adjustable, I find the height to be very comfortable (I am 5'3" and 75 yrs old). The seat is not hugely comfortable, but certainly ok for short periods of time (like less than an hour). I really like the fact that it also has a shoulder strap, which is very handy when you need your hands free. I'm very happy with this cane/seat, and the price was reasonable. It's well made and feels stable for walking or sitting. When opened into a seat, the cane itself becomes a fourth leg which provides more stability than the other canes I saw online that just make a tripod when opened into a seat.I had a recent spinal fusion surgery & ordered this cane/chair for a trip to Disneyland. I was concerned if I would be able to make it a full day standing in long lines on hard ground & let me tell you, this cane/chair was a LIFESAVER!If it weren't for my ability to sit while waiting in the long lines, we would have had to cut the days at the park short, but having this cane made it possible for me to spend 2 full days with the grandkids making memories that will be remembered for their entire lives! It has a soft foam covered umbrella style hook handle which can be used comfortably as a cane or hung on your arm & also an adjustable shoulder strap if your just wanting to throw it over your shoulder. As a chair it is very comfortable because it's a flexible cloth hammock style seat. It's very lightweight & easy to open & close quickly every time the lines moved! Now all my friends are ordering them for an upcoming walking tour of Israel! If you are considering it at all... I say, GO FOR IT, you will not be disappointed!!This product is great to have when traveling. Always have a place to sit when needed. It feels sturdy but probably not for a heavy person. It does feel stableI liked the stability of 4 legs, instead of 3.For my arthritic knees, rising from this chair was very difficult. I can sit/rise from a 20" chair unassisted (no arm pushup). It was little odd at firstbut now I love it. To stand in lines for even a few minutes is hard with my disabilitys it was so awesome when in long lines I can rest comfortablyThis chair/cane is great. It's easy to operate. There's a carry strap that can go over your shoulder. It's sturdy and I feel comfortable when sitting on it, although I'm fairly small - 5'5" and 135 lbs. I take it hiking so I can sit down whenever I want to. I'd definitely buy it again.I was reluctant to order but really needed something to take with me when I am at an event and need to sit for a while. This seems to fit the bill perfectly. The quality and stability is better than I expected.I used my old cane stool for many years, but decided to get a second one. Initially, I was pleased with the new one. After a few months, I was disappointed to find that one of the legs bent to the point that it can no longer be used or even closed. My weight is below the weight limit, so I must assume that the cane stool was faulty and will have to simply continue to use my old cane stool. Very disappointed!
